Consent before chat
The chat asks you to agree before it creates a CDX chat-session cookie or stores a conversation. Declining leaves normal website navigation available. The cookie contains a random session identifier, not your message text. It is marked HttpOnly, Secure and SameSite=Lax on the hosted HTTPS site.
History and quality review
The chat-session cookie and associated conversation are available for up to 30 days from consent. CDX administrators can review stored messages for quality assurance and troubleshooting. Our hosting service providers process information to deliver the service and may retain service records under their own terms. We do not claim that a person watches every conversation live.
AI processing
The website assistant searches published CDX pages, services, academy lessons and blog content and returns relevant extracts with source links. It does not send messages to an external AI service, browse the wider web or access private project files or financial accounts. It is automated website search, not a person or a generative AI model. Confirm project scope and technical matters with CDX.
Withdraw or delete
Use Delete chat & withdraw consent to delete the current website conversation and expire its CDX cookie. This does not revoke an email you sent separately or guarantee deletion from a service provider’s separate legally retained records. Contact CDX about other privacy requests. Expired conversations are excluded from access and removed during subsequent chat maintenance.
Other website storage
Appearance, text size, motion and layout preferences are stored on your device. Supabase authentication and hosting may use their own cookies under their applicable policies. Course progress, project records and certificates are stored against your signed-in account rather than only in browser storage. We do not add advertising trackers through this chat feature.
Before AI is connected
The website search assistant needs no external AI key. It uses the current published website content and starting rates. If no reliable matching content is found, it directs you to info@cdx.net.au.
